Goodyear Clearwater Mill Number 1 in Cedartown (Polk County, Ga.) was opened in 1898 as the Paragon Mill. The mill was purchased in 1926 by the Goodyear Tire Company and renamed Goodyear Clearwater Mill Number 1. The mill produced cotton tire cord fabric for Goodyear tires.
